Student Organizations

When I found out about two amazing student clubs SWIFT ( Students With an Interest in Forensic and Technology) and FAST (Forensic and Security Technology) I became highly interested due to their objectives and right away I became a member of both. I have learned many new skills in Cyber Security such as learning how to combat hacking and protecting my computer.
In SWIFT have participated in working with students that would be attending a state competition. The students would mimic the Red Team and Blue Team hacking and I would participate in these SWIFT events. Through SWIFT I also learned to use Linux for Computer Networking.
In FAST I have attended their workshops about forensics and about ongoing issues involving cyber crimes. We would also talk about ways that the problems could be prevented or possible solutions that would help solve the issue.
Both SWIFT and FAST provides students with workshops that our campus invites guest speakers to talk about related topics on Cyber Security and these have helped me network with other professionals. Both clubs have also helped me learn more about possible career paths and new skills.
